MINDFUL EATING TIP: Permission to Explore: Don’t force yourself to eat things you don’t like. But – TRY NEW THINGS. Eliminate table salt, sugar and processed food – especially white flour. Give yourself permission to explore cleaner and greener foods like kale, spinach or arugula or good complex carbohydrates like sweet potato and brown rice. Take time to try new things and take time to learn or relearn to like and enjoy them. For example, I never liked broccoli sprouts. You know, the funny looking grassy stuff that looks like you should be feeding it to your rabbit, right? However, my point is, once I cleaned up my diet, and palette, I began to enjoy them. Now I put them on sandwiches, salads or even place in a small pile on my plate with some fresh lemon. You will be amazed how excited you can get over healthy foods! Have fun with it – make it your own personal creative experiment!
