Some days when I am out and about and I know that I haven’t any prepared food at home, I will stop at the local market for what I call healthy takeout. You have to poke around a bit, but usually you can find something in the store, cooked and prepared, sometimes at a reduced price. I picked up grilled salmon that was packaged with fresh green beans for about 10 bucks. There was enough salmon and beans in the package for 2 to 4 meals depending on your personal portion size AND how hungry you are. I found a small container of some mixed raw vegetables with mango and cilantro as well for an additional two dollars that I used on top of the salmon. So for 12 bucks – two to four meals is not bad!
