JOURNAL ENTRY September 22: The Time to Shine
If you’re reading this then there’s a good chance you feel something in life needs to shift or change. Life can be strange and sometimes our family dynamics can be stranger.
On one hand, if you grow up in a household that is supportive of who you are, then you’ve got a good foundation to grow on. On the flip side of the coin, many of us have spent a lot of years unpacking the baggage that at times can still creep in influencing our decisions today.
The good news is that we are aware of it and we can evolve.
Wherever we are on life’s journey — this is your moment to shine.
The time has come to dig deep in the dirt and pull out the diamond waiting to be cleaned so it may reflect and refract our beautiful light.
Maybe our diamond is parenting or completing a degree. Maybe it’s beginning a new painting or writing a new song, attending a local lecture or watching a TED talk.
It’s where our joy brings us.
When our heart is aligned with Spirit, Prana, Life-force, Chi — peace is sure to follow. How we discover our diamond is up to us, but I believe that stillness is our key. Being still allows us to slow down, and that’s where we begin to say hmmm, what’s that?
For me, a daily practice works best. Meditation, prayer, yoga and writing in a journal all bring me to a place of still. Some people find it visiting a temple or hiking a mountain, running or cooking. All excellent ways to connect or reconnect with our authentic selves.
Whether we are still unpacking or have the best support system in the world — there’s a diamond in each of us waiting to shine. Let is be today! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
