Once We Enter We Cannot Un-Enter

FOCUS

I sit
with the naked truth
like dusty roses
I gaze at night
moments surrounding sight
slightly tattered
life so bold
restless and fragile battled
you can never let it go

from HERO, a collection of poems 1990-2001.

(when life happens, we cannot un-enter it)

LITTLE BIRD

poetry

TO AN OCEAN OF MOVEMENT

LITTLE BIRD LITTLE ONE

Little bird, little one

sweeping in the sky

fly, fly, fly away

somewhere

little bird little one
chirp and once again

seen in the nest of time

in a world together
sing, sing, sing in tune
to an ocean of movement

little bird little one

sweeping in the sky

someday we’ll meet

somewhere

— from HERO, a collection of poems from 1990-2001

BEAST

jazz

PRIMAL AND PASSIONATE, LIKE JAZZ…

BEAST

Primal and passionate
like jazz
brilliantly seductive
knowing the soundless sound
forging through the night
like a fast moving spirit
he becomes the beast
unleashing the dark
the dangerous
sending out signals
like a fire on
a cold winter night

From HERO, a collection of metaphysical poems

COLOUR CONSPIRACY

poems

Observe What You Encounter Each Day

COLOUR CONSPIRACY

Severed cotton clouds
painted woolen spots
of beauty
some touch the sky with gray
from a thin paintbrush
sun spaced colour
of brilliance move cross horizons
creating illusions and beams
rainbow colours
darkened to the earth
cotton clouds become black
then we wait for the next
color conspiracy

LIGHT

Shine light – one person at a time…

poetry

LOVE BENDS ALL

LIGHT

Light always wins
love bends all
breaks through walls and calls
everything you hold dear
near to you, love is

-from HERO, a collection of poems

The NEW Destiny

In The New Destiny lives HOPE, for in leaving our past behind – LOVE expands.

HOPE

LOVE EXPANDS

THE NEW DESTINY

The sudden wealth of knowledge
changes your view
steps that led to a bridge
over a river you found
a new destiny

you cannot turn back
for there is nothing
just faded colour against nothing
what you have now
is essence a feeling of impermanence

tonight you feel the real still
outside is empty outside is heavy
throughout a dense hum
that entangles us all

from HERO, a collection of poems written 1990-2001

LUXURY

We Are More Alike Than Different

LUXURY

I hear you

on the last page

in a journal

we are not different

we are not that different
you and I

you the superstar
I modern day czar

I have my luxury
matter of perception
how I have learned
in tumultuous weeks

my room is silent

that is all—

and the most important thing
is to love ourselves

It is the only consideration

or we shall fade

over and again and again and more
maybe then love will win
